The experience of pride in achievement prevails on few occasions and is overwhelming when it is created through group effort. With foresight and wisdom, His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz spearheaded all efforts to realize the creation of Riyadh Al-Kharj Hospital. To many fine people who make this Hospital a center of medical excellence, I wish to record my grateful appreciation.

Group effort has likewise initiated the inauguration of this journal and to the reader I wish to extend an invitation to share the pleasure and value offered by its contents. I congratulate the Editorial Team on its creation and forward my good wishes for an anticipated successful life and would support the Editorial hopes that this journal soon matures to become the medical journal for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and related Islamic countries throughout the Middle East.
